Better | Brighter | More Just

The Arizala Foundation was established to help create a better, brighter, and more just world. We provide monetary grants to individuals and organizations in an effort to take a small step towards equity, dignity, and possibility.

Our Organization

A family affair, the Arizala Foundation was established by Andy Arizala (Dad), Heidi Arizala Showman (Daughter/Sister), & Scott Arizala (Son/Brother). Through their professional, personal, and volunteer experiences they know that sometimes people find that they are in a situation where their immediate needs are to impossible to meet. Often what is needed are monetary funds. Examples could include funds for reliable transportation, to pay medical bills, or to prevent eviction. We have found that even though many organizations and agencies have programs and social services available, sometimes there are too many barriers, red tape, or time for immediate needs to be met. We also believe that there are often dire consequences if these immediate needs are not met.

Our organization is dedicated to fill in these gaps. We hope that our grants can be a helping hand to make an immediate and significant impact on people’s lives. The structure of our organization is unique from many other foundations, as we ask that an Advocate request the grant for someone in their lives, tell their story and then make a request for what would be useful or meet the need.  In this way we empower a small but growing community of people helping others. We hope that by asking people to think about ways to help others through the Advocate-led application process, we can create a ripple effect felt by many. Grants will be reviewed and processed quickly and efficiently and with absolutely no strings attached.

Our Advocates

Our Advocates are such an integral and central part of our Foundation and the mission of what we are trying to do. It is our Advocates that link us to people who may need help or have circumstances beyond their control. Currently, Advocates are our trusted friends, colleagues, professional relationships, or family members who know of someone in need and who believes in them. They understand that help for grant recipients could make their lives just a little easier and even help overcome obstacles to get to a better place. Advocates advocate for their people, believe in them, and request the grant from the Foundation. In doing so, recipients feel like there is someone who is willing to stand up for them and take the time to make the ask of the Foundation. We’ve seen the power of what this looks like and how this act of requesting a grant for someone else has a powerful positive effect on all involved: the recipient, the Advocate, and us at the Foundation. The world needs more good in it and this is our mission….to make the world a little better, brighter and hopefully more by taking these small steps towards equity, dignity and possibility. Our Advocates are at the heart of our mission.

What if I could help?

How to become an Advocate

Sometimes we just don’t know how to help someone when we see a need.
Most people want to help but they don’t know what to do, how to do it, or lack the funds immediately needed.
Now, you can help.
